Lillian Gonzalez and Henry Julian, mother and brother of crash victim Richard Gonzalez, mourn at the point of impact in Port Hueneme, Calif. the morning of Thursday April 8, 2004. Richard was killed in a crash Wednesday night on Ventura Road near the intersection of Sunkist after shots were fired at the car he and another victim were in.

Yrganem Tesema (left) grabs hold of Alemshe Mrche (center) who is overcome with grief while in attendance at a memorial vigil ) held at 18th and Gilpin Monday evening April 1, 2004 for Ato Mesfin Gezahega. Ato Mesfin Gezahega, a taxi driver for ProTAXI, was killed at that location in a brutal stabbing on the morning of March 29, 2004. Collections are being taken to help pay the cost of carrying Mesfin's body home to Ethiopia and to provide a relief fund for his family.
