Severely disabled and abandoned at birth, 124 children live at the Ba Vi Orphanage and Elderly home near Hanoi, Vietnam. They are believed to be 3rd generation Agent Orange(a defoliant used by the US military during the Vietnam War) victims, but nothing is known about their family history and the center lacks the resources to conduct medical tests to prove such a link.

A Big Load
The Hewitt family packs into their 15-passenger van to head to their home in Creola, Ohio, from grocery shopping on Oct. 2, 2006. In order to feed the family of 14, the Hewitts use food stamps and stock the pantry once a week from the discount grocery store 45 minutes away. 'The kids eat so much and this store is so much cheaper,' Bertha, the mother, says.

Attilio Tarzi, 89, gives his wife Abbie a kiss before leaving for work at his son's Clarksdale, Ms. restaraunt. 'I've got two places,' Attilio Tarzi said. 'If I'm not here [home], I'm at Delta Amusement.' Tarzi, who once worked as a traveling salesman throughout the Mississippi Delta, now spends his afternoons talking to patrons at Delta Amusement.

'Hanging Out'
