    Powerlifter
Jim Grandick, 36, of Omaha, benches 675 pounds with the spotting help of fellow Big Iron Gym lifters during one of their four weekly workouts at the gym on July 31, 2006. Powerlifters, like Grandick, are under such great weight that safety must come first. The lifters are unable to workout without the help of spotters.
