The title was given to the girl whose parents bought the most votes, in an effort to raise money for the elementary school. The Furlongs, with a single income and five children, spent eight dollars towards tickets for Lurlena, but the loss is still tough for her to accept.

The Fighter's Eyes
Jake Hecht, 23, is a coach at American Top Team mixed martial arts studio in Columbia, MO. Known as 'The Hitman' in the professional fighting circuit, Hecht has been learning how to fight for eight years. He trains himself and others for full-contact bouts that take place inside a steel cage. Hecht said he discovered his passion for fighting in a small boxing studio several years ago. 'I found out I really liked hitting people in the face, and I've stayed with it ever since,' he said.
