JUDY GRIESEDIECK is
currently on the staff of the Star Tribune in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She has also been a staff photographer for the Hartford Courant and
the San Jose Mercury News. She freelanced during 1990s and has had
work published by Time, Newsweek, Sports Illustrated, Business Week,
Smithsonian and People magazines. Her photographs have also appeared
in the books: Christmas In America, A Day in the Life
of China, A Day in the Life of Italy, A Circle of
Life, The Power to Heal, Baseball In America, 24
Hours in Cyberspace, The History of Mothers and Daughters and
most recently, He’s Just My Dad, featuring photos of
famous sports figures and their children.
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Judy is married to Mike Healy, a former picture
editor at the Star Tribune, now in medical school. They have a daughter, Taylor,
age nine.
ROMAN LYSKOWSKI is
currently the Deputy Photo Director at The Miami Herald where he has
worked in
various picture editing and management positions since 1988. Before
joining the Herald, he was the photo director at the Dallas Times Herald,
graphics editor at the San Francisco Examiner, picture editor at the
Virginian-Pilot and a staff photographer at the Fredericksburg (Va.)
Free Lance-Star and at the Columbia (Mo.) Daily Tribune. He has been
involved, either as team member or picture editor in news coverage
and photographic projects that have been awarded three separate Pulitzer
Prizes. During his tenure as picture editor at The Virginian-Pilot,
the newspaper was recognized for Best Use of Pictures by the Pictures
of the Year Competition. He was named Picture-Editor-of-the-Year in
the NPPA quarterly picture editor competition in 1997 and honored with
a Silver Medal by the Society of Newspaper Designers in 1984.

JOHN LEE, currently
a staff photographer for the Chicago Tribune since 1996, is a graduate
of San Jose State University. His professional work has received
honors in POYi and he has been named Illinois Press Photographer
of the Year twice since starting with the Tribune. While in college,
he was named the National Photojournalism Champion by Hearst Journalism
Awards Program. He has traveled extensively through China for the
Chicago Tribune and was dispatched to Pakistan in the fall of 2001
after the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
