Hatfield's mother Elizabeth survived the tornado by hiding inside of a closet. After three days of searching, the family found their most treasured heirloom - a wood carving portrait of brother Jimmy Hatfield, who was killed in Vietnam.

Witnesses to a one-car crash call 911 and check on the condition of an unconscious Erica Wilson in the passenger seat of a vehicle driven by David Menchinger which spun out while travleing at a high-rate of speed and slammed into a stone wall in Bowling Green, Ky. on May 11, 2011. Menchinger exited the vehicle shortly after the crash after attempting to restart the vehicle and was later arrested by Bowling Green Police for driving under the influence after failing a sobriety test.

Elk Creek Cabin
A small cabin on Main Elk Creek Road in New Castle, Colorado was ripped off its foundation last June due to high snow melt and a natural damn created up stream from the summer vacation home. The water eroded away the bank and foundation of the cabin sending the back half of the home into the water and lifting the front half off the ground. The cabin is a vacation getaway owned by a women if Fruita, Colorado.

Firefighters continue to fight natural gas fires into the night as they wait for PG & E to shut off the flow of gas in a neighborhood off of Sneath Lane after a massive gas explosion, Sept. 9, 2010, in San Bruno, Calif. The explosion and ensuing fire destroyed 37 homes, damaged eight, caused four confirmed fatalities and displaced many families.
