Synapses Firing
Synapses are how signals in our brains are able to travel. They are intrinsic to memory and recall, which can be messy for a person suffering from PTSD. If the brain thinks it is in danger, the synapses will fire a signal to the nervous system and cause a "flight, fight, or freeze" response, even when no danger is present. Digital collage created in Photoshop.
