This is one of 9 images I made using artificial lighting while in quarantine with three college couples. I not only wanted to play with conceptions of gender, but express the strain quarantine put on the romantic relationships in my college house. The figures are together in a physical space, but are each independently in isolation.

A few years ago, I noticed that I began to forget different moments of life and everyday situations. At first, I didn't think much of it, but as time went on, I realized that I was having problems with my memory. I look at my mother and realize that this is a hereditary story. In my project, I manipulate (a manual collage) with a photo from the archive, just as my memory erases different parts of my life. The project is ongoing

Luna Moth
A female luna moth landed on the window of our house in Asheville, NC on the evening of July 29, 2020, so I set up a camera on a tripod to document it, using phone flashlights for lighting.
