    Phenomenal Woman - That's me
    Silver
    International Picture Story

Despite the fact that Stripteaseclubs are not longer hided in dark side streets, and despite the fact that huge blinking signs from far away are crying for their „Topless Bar“, Striptease is still a tabu in our society. At the same time it is very fascinating for so many people and that is also true for me. „Looksies, no feelsies!“ that is the maxime in the business of striptease. Anyhow, in colloquial speech there is no good word for that kind of dance. One possible reason for this is, as Charlotte told me, that some women who are striptease dancers do not mind to prostitute themselves too. And of course there is the big rumour that these women are not really smart – because who would like to earn money like that? There are as many reasons as existing striptease dancers are. Some women are just proud of her bodies and do not mind to show it. Other women are financing their study with pole dancing. Another reason is also the revolt against the daily routine of life. Of course, there are also the horrible reasons. A mother who have to feed her child and showing her body because it is better paid as work as a cleaner. The question ist: Who is the real victim? Women who knows to handle with their body? Or men, who are sitting every weekend in front of the stage, gaping and yelling to a person they never will reach? In a world where a naked body is nothing special anymore; In a world where kids are able to download porn movies with one click; in a world where pole dancing is the new and coolest sport in Fitnessclubs, almost everyone is screaming when it comes to this seductive dance. Charlotte Kristjansson lives with her two children and her husband in a small apartement in Kastrup, Denmark. She is 33 years old and married since 11 years. Her children, two boys, are at the age of nine and six. Charlotte is a person who is very active and gets bored quickly. Today she works, besides her striptease jobs, as a bartender and as a helper for handicapped people.
